ARF recently participated in the Farstarodden competition held on 17-18 June 2023.
The competitions were held in varying weather conditions, with sunny weather and strong side winds on the first day, and light wind but heavy rain on the second day. Our rowers performed well and gained valuable experience for future races in tackling different weather conditions. Notably, we had a brave beginners 2x entry from our open rowing group competing on Saturday.
The results of all the competition are available online here.
We are proud to announce the medals won by our rowers.

We had over 20 entrants racing, which was great. But it was noted that there were fewer entries from other rowing clubs than previouse years.
Overall, it was a great weekend of racing experience for our rowing club, and we look forward to future competitions.
The success of this year's rowing event would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. The ARF volunteers were organized by Anna-Luisa, including: Andre, Ian, Annemarjin, Emma, Erik A, Michaéla R, Fredrica, Nils, Gunilla, Mariel, Sofia, Clara, and Michael S, that helped ensure the smooth running of the event.
Big thanks to Connla for coaching our rowers to their success and, to Michael's willingness to go the extra mile and bringing all the boats and equipment to the racing course. Also to Emma S who always keeps us informed via social media and contributed with a live feed of the competitions.!
